Continuing with the presentation of Made London Canary Wharf exhibitors. Meet our next four makers:
“My work has been influenced by my travels and everyday life. I have taken inspiration from places such as India, Morocco, Egypt and London. I use 9ct gold and sterling silver combined with processes such as wax carving, Keum Boo and reticulation to achieve unusual and interesting textures and shapes. I combine these metals with bright and vibrant precious and semi – precious gem stones”.
Brett Payne is a contemporary silversmith, specialising in the design and making of candlesticks, table silver and flatware. All Brett Payne’s pieces are individually hot forged, by hand, in sterling silver. Simple, practical and original, his designs combine function and elegance in bold, contemporary silverware for the modern home.
By Cecil was launched in January 2018 to create modern textiles using traditional techniques. I aim to provide an alternative to today’s mass-produced and environmentally damaging textiles and to demonstrate the best of British industry. The intention behind my brand is to produce future heirloom pieces that people will treasure and pass down to the next generation.
