Alison’s jewellery collections are inspired by her walks. She is particularly fascinated by her meetings with birds. Recreating the glanced scenes of birds, wildlife and plants. She carefully crafts the birds with enamel, anodised aluminium and oxidised silver. The birds are perched on silver branches, glass beads, gemstones, and filigree caps that become blossoms, leaves, nuts and berries.
Amanda Doughty designs and makes contemporary jewellery for men and women. Well known for her geometric, architectural inspired work using bold forms, hidden precious stones and contrasting metals. Amanda lives and works in Brighton & Hove, sells her collection through a small number of shows in the UK and also works to commission in her workshop at Phoenix Brighton.
Anna is an Art Jeweller who uses jewellery traditions and processes to express visual meaning. She’s inspired by movies, photography, memory of images, history, fairytales, nostalgia, buildings and landscapes both rural and urban, basically everything! The conceptual focus of her work is to combine the aesthetic purpose of jewellery with subversive elements.
Annie works directly in a hot flame using ‘soft glass’ to create beads which she then combines into unique pieces of wearable jewellery. The techniques used originate in 17th century lampworking but are applied into contemporary design ideas.
