Helaina creates 2D and 3D wire work wall pieces, crossing the boundaries between drawing and sculpture. Inspired by Victorian and Edwardian England, subjects in her work include elegant architecture, old time pieces delicate crockery and cutlery.
Ceramic artist, Ikuko Iwamoto is best known for her sculptural often eccentric porcelain table top pieces, however she has developed a new body of work exploring framed wall sculptures since 2012. While lots of things have been done with free-standing sculptures in the art history, she believes there are yet unexplored areas with wall piece sculptures.
Jeff Soan Wooden Creatures
Jeff’s work reflects equally a love of creatures, great and small and a love of wood. His earlier training as an artist and later as a toymaker has led to objects which can be seen as playful sculpture or perhaps sculptural toys. Jeff tries to express the essential nature of the creatures he makes by simplification but very often by the movement achieved by articulation
