The  2018 Artists Open Houses Festival starts this weekend!
The Festival runs weekends 5th-28th May


Plan your visit around the 13 individual trails shown on the AOH website, or take your pick from the wealth of Open Houses on offer.


Visiting Open Houses offers the chance meet the artists and to buy work directly from them. The hugely diverse range of artwork on show includes original paintings, prints, graffiti arts, ceramics and textiles, as well as photography, sculpture, crafts, jewellery and many other media.

Our resident artists will be opening the doors of their studios to the public alongside 30 other makers who will be showcasing their work at Atelier 51 Shop & Studios.


Entry to the houses is free and many Open Houses also offer the opportunity to get involved, providing workshops and events for both adults and children. 





This is your opportunity to learn ceramics in a fully equipped central Brighton studio  with Silvia K at Atelier 51.


Develop excellent practical and technical skills in an informal, creative and positive working studio environment. You will be encouraged to explore your personal original ideas. 


Classes are taught in groups of 3-4 and the cost includes materials and firings. Starting price is £40 and the classes suit beginners or those with a little experience.

9-30 June Saturdays - Intensive Course £395


23 July - 27 August Mondays 6-9PM - Evening Course - £320 


Throwing and Turning - One-to-one Tuesday & Wednesdays  6PM - 9PM £135 


Private Groups Workshops on Request. 


About Silvia K Ceramics:


The award wining studio was established by Silvia in 2012 shortly after completing MDes in Ceramics and Visual Research at the University of Brighton, achieving a distinction. Silvia also worked for 3 years as a ceramics demonstrator at the University of Brighton specialising in hand building techniques, surface decoration, slip casting and mould making.


She's looking forward to welcoming you in her studio.
